405tv session: Gang Colours – ‘Communal Quo’

We have had a rather soft spot for Gang Colours ever since the release of his violently monikered In Your Gut Like a Knife, back in 2011

Two years later, and two full length albums have seen the light of day on Brownswood Recordings – with the most recent LP Invisible In Your City out earlier this month; read our review of it here. Expect to find nods to R&B, a jazzy David Bowie cover, piano-led ballads that converge with garage stylings; all under a consistent level of rich, warm bass that envelops his production sound that’s like being given a sonic hug, in a mug.

Will Ozanne (the real name) gave us a sparse, passionate rendition of ‘Communal Quo’ in a session especially for us, in between tea and donuts. The track can be found on Invisible In Your City that’s out now via Brownswood; and go see him on October 22nd at Concrete in London.

You can watch the session below, or via our TV Section. It’s also available via our Youtube page (please watch in HD when possible).
